Javier Santos, Ph.D., SCPM Executive
Director, Founder
Dr. Santos has over 12+ years of experience in scientific
research, strategic project management, leadership, proposal preparation, and literature search and
analysis. For 10 years, Dr. Santos served as a key member of scientific groups at Ohio Aerospace
Institute and NASA Glenn Research Center where he participated in numerous grant funding
and cooperative agreement programs. Dr. Santos has a proven track record of
leading scientific projects achieving milestones on scope, schedule, and budget.
His scientific experience include: organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, nanomaterials (e.g. carbon
nanotubes, nanosensors, quantum dots, nanofibers), photo-responsive materials, thermally stable materials,
self assembly materials, molecular electronics, thin films, composite materials, fabrication of
fibers, and electronic devices containing organic materials as an integral component.
He is author and co-author of numerous scientific publications and national
presentations.
Dr. Santos holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry with specialization in
organic/polymer synthesis and physical organic chemistry from Clark Atlanta University and a Master
Certificate in Business Management from Tulane University, Freeman School of Business. In addition, Dr.
Santos studied Advanced Project Management at Stanford University achieving the Stanford Certified Project
Manager (SCPM) credential. Also, he completed the Patent Bar Review Program from Patent
Resources Group, Alexandria, VA.
Dr. Santos is a member of the American Chemical Society,
Chemical Consultant Network, Project Management Institute, and Nano-Network.
